The Physicians-in-Training program at The VEINS and VIVA offers fellows and residents an immersive educational experience designed to strengthen clinical skills, broaden vascular expertise, and support professional growth at the start of your career.
Thank you to everyone who applied to join this year’s program. Applications closed on August 8, 2025, and scholarship awards will be announced on August 28, 2025. We look forward to welcoming this year’s cohort in Las Vegas.
Industry Session
Participants will visit each commercial supporter’s booth during an exclusive industry session. This unique format allows trainees to connect directly with industry leaders, learn about cutting-edge technologies, and build relationships that support advocacy for the diagnosis, evaluation, and treatment of peripheral vascular disease (PVD).
Face-Off Competition
For those attending VIVA, the Face-Off competition offers the chance to present an interesting case or original research in a dynamic 7-minute session, followed by faculty Q&A. Winners will present in the Spotlight Theater on VIVA’s final day and have the opportunity to submit their work for publication in the Journal of Vascular Surgery Cases, Innovations, and Techniques (submission fees covered by The VIVA Foundation).
Poster Display
Trainees attending only The VEINS will present a poster on a case or research topic. For those attending both The VEINS and VIVA, the poster is optional.
